Side, one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey, was an ancient harbor whose name meant pomegranate. Today a pretty resort town, its ancient ruins, two sandy beaches,numerous shops and extensive tourist accommodation attract throngs of visitors. There are numerous cafes and restaurants with a view of the sea, and the shops that line the narrow streets sell typical Turkish handicrafts including leather goods and Turkey's famous beautiful gold jeweler. The magnificent theater of the ancient city, built on colonnaded arches, is the largest in the whole area. Other monuments include the agora, the Temple of Apollo, which is situated near the sea, a fountain and necropolis. The extensive Roman baths, now a museum, houses one of Turkey's finest archaeological collections.

1. Antalya
Surrounded by amazing scenery of sharp contrasts, Antalya, Turkey's principal holiday resort, is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards and a prize-winning marina. In the picturesque old quarter of Kaleiçi, narrow, winding streets and old wooden houses abut the ancient city walls.

What could be more appealing than dreamlike landscapes, a rich variety of flora, grand mountains and the magnificent colors of the sea? Add to that the lively holiday life with the quiet of ancient ruins and you have a perfect destination for a day's excursion.

2. Demre-Myra-Kekova Tour
Demre, the ancient Myra,is the city where St. Nicholas, also known as Father Christmas, served as a bishop. You can visit the ruins of his church. The ancient theater of Myra is also well preserved and next to it there are some extraordinary Lycian rock tombs. A few kilometers out of Demre at the harbour of ancient Andriake you can go on a boat cruise to the sunken city of Kekova.

3. Olympos-Çıralı Tour
Right behind the western edge of Antalya you enter Olympos National Park. The D400 highway takes you along the cliffs, passing blue bays and tourist resort like Beldibi, Kemer and Çamyuva. After Tekirova it winds up through pine forests following a canyon. At the top, in Ulupınar village, you can enjoy trout in one of the scenic fish restaurants surrounded by waterfalls. Soon after Ulupınar you take a left to the winding little road down to Çıralı which, with its little family led garden pension looks more like a huge camp ground. Take a walk along the scenic shingle beach to the ruin of Olympos that stretch alongside an ice cold creek in a canyon. You may want to have a look at the tree houses of Olympos, which attracts mainly young people, before you return through the ruined city to have a swim in the crystal clear blue bay. After resting in a cushioned 'köshk' while eating fresh baked 'gözleme' (filled pancake), you make your way towards Yanartaş, the burning mountain. It takes about 15 minutes to climb the stairs up a pine forest to a field of gas flames that have been there since ancient times. The spectacle is most impressive after sunset.

4. Dam Tour
Relax in the typical green mountain scenery with idyllic chalets and peaks up to nearly 5000 feet. A lovely barrage embedded in endless pine forests expects you with swimming places and little family led fish restaurants at its shores.
5. Watermill Tour
The watermill that dates back to the 17th Century was in service till 1988.

6. Golf Tour
